FITHIAN, PHILIP VICKERS. [1776] Presbyterian chaplain to the Continental Army. He witnessed and wrote a vivid account of the rout of Washington’s forces from New York. Published as Philip Vickers Fithian: Journal, 1775–1776, written on the Virginia- Pennsylvania frontier and in the army around New York,edited by Robert Greenhalgh Albion and Leonidas Dodson. Vol. 2.
