SHERIDAN, CLARE. [1921] Celebrated British artist who traveled the world sculpting busts of the famous–Guglielmo Marconi, Nikolai Lenin, Mohandas Gandhi, among them. Her work for Soviet subjects caused her to be labeled a “Bolshevik” during her visit to the U.S. in the early Twenties.
